*Ages 3-6 Girls: Black Mary Jane styled tap shoes
*Ages 7+ and boys of all ages: black, lace up, hard soled, oxford styled tap shoes
Hip Hop:
We encourage our hip hop dancers to dress the part. It’s a great chance to really express themselves. Ex: cargo or sweat pants, joggers, leggings, jerseys, hats, layers, etc. Shoes: flat sole (like Vans, Converse, AirForce 1, Adidas Allstars, etc)
*No Blue Jeans.
*Shoes must be entirely free of dirt, pebbles, etc. We recommend having a pair of shoes just for class or bringing a method of cleaning the shoes (ex: disinfectant wipes). When cleaning shoes, they must be dry before getting on the dance floor.
Acro:
Girls and Boys: any dance or athletic wear. No Shoes. Hair pulled up to the back of the head (hair styles on top of the head prohibits certain tricks and skills). Since the nature of acro tends to have the dancer pass over their head (handstands, cartwheels, etc) girls will either need to wear a leotard, fitted top, or a crop/sports bra under anything loose for modesty.
